Welcome to my site

I think I may have the best job in the world! I spend most of the winter skiing, the summer in the mountains of the Alps and the spring and autumn in Wales or seeking out adventures in the sun further south.

Skiing, climbing and mountaineering have been my passion for more than twenty years now. I have travelled the world in my pursuit of adventure and I love it all! I bring this enthusiasm for all things mountainous to my work as an internationally qualified mountain guide (IFMGA), and as a mountaineering instructor (MIC).

Currently I am in charge of avalanche training to the Ski Club of Great Britain, I head the mountaineering training for the UK’s UIAA Diploma in Mountain Medicine and I am the lead ski trainer for the British Mountain Guides. Since 1989, I have been introducing novices to the mountains and helping experts to improve. I spent many years as a senior instructor at Plas y Brenin (the National Mountain Center) where much of my work was training and assessing future instructors.

Home is North Wales and Chamonix, France. I offer a personal service which can be tailored to the individual and courses where I work alongside hand picked colleagues.
