Euro Rock

With easy access from many UK airports climbing on the crags of mainland Europe has become easier than reaching some of the more far flung areas of the UK and the weather is often kinder too.

Within a short drive of Chamonix there are many venues which are perfect for enjoying the sunny bolted rock experience. Not to mention the pre-climb coffee and post climb beer. Seconding British VS or harder leaves plenty of scope.

Other venues include: Aosta valley and Finale in Italy and Provence in the south of France.

UK Rock

The UK has some of the best rock climbing in the world. The variety of rock types, and their different situations, sea cliffs, mountain crags, road side combined with their history, give a unique experience.

Climb a classic mountaineering route on Tryfan, sample sea cliff climbing at Gogarth on Anglesey or maybe push your grade in the famous Llanberis Pass.

Sun Rock
As the days get colder thoughts turn to sunny rock. Cheap flights and accommodation make southern Spain, Sardinia, Majorca, Greece and the desert areas of the US, like red rocks at Las Vegas, an attractive alternative to dodging the weather at home.
